Howick Historical Village

Panmure Bridge School
Kings Road
Panmure

Thursday 11 July

Dear Howick Historical Village

Thank you for the experience Panmure Bridge School had coming for a visit and to experience old times at school and how things were made and used.

I really enjoyed using the skipping ropes, and the stilts with Mrs Hill and giving them a try it was really fun to play with and really exciting when Mrs Hill was showing all the items that was used in the olden days and how they were used.

What I  was excited about was when we had to play with the old fashion toys and know how they were used. It was really fun playing with the toys. It was really interesting walking  around the room having a look at the pictures and boxes with items inside it.

The one thing I was so surprised was going back to school in the olden days with Mrs White. It was a bit funny when she went around the room looking at our nails especially the teachers when she was shocked when she saw Mrs Anderson, Mrs Bruce, and Mrs Kelly married and had their hair down and not wearing uniform.

I really enjoyed going around the whole village and seeing great things and having a look at some things that we may not have known and which things were interestingH. We thank you for having us and hope someday we will visit your wonderful village again.

Yours sincerely
Rachel
